Wandrio’s first full month in operation has been both intense and highly rewarding. User growth has accelerated day by day, faster than we initially anticipated. This rapid growth has required immediate improvements to our backend architecture to ensure performance and stability under increasing load.
One of the most interesting developments has been the arrival of highly active users. Many of them have already collected tens of thousands of tiles, which has pushed us to rethink how our systems handle large-scale, real-time activity. This kind of usage is a strong signal that the core idea works, but it also increases the technical responsibility we carry.
Building a Product Under Real-World Pressure
Developing a new digital service under live conditions is rarely linear. Challenges emerge quickly and often unexpectedly. Our approach has been to address issues as soon as they appear and continuously improve the service.
User feedback has played a central role in this process. Our WhatsApp community has been especially valuable, offering both technical insights and practical suggestions. The level of engagement there has exceeded our expectations and has helped us prioritize development more effectively. Thank you very much for everyone who has given their feedback and reported bugs.
Data Synchronization and Reliability
One area that required patience from our users has been Strava data synchronization. During peak usage, our API has been heavily loaded, which has caused transfer delays of up to a few days in some cases.
We sincerely appreciate the understanding and trust our users have shown during these moments. That trust is something we actively work to deserve through transparency and continuous system improvements.
Real Progress in Real Numbers
After just one month, the platform now contains:
- Over 700,000 visited tiles
- More than 1,000,000 total activities
These figures represent real-world movement and real user engagement — runs, rides, hikes, and explorations across cities, forests, and remote areas.
We are currently developing a new visual view that will display both collected and missing tiles. This feature will enable collaborative country-level campaigns, where users can work together to complete tile coverage across specific regions, such as collecting every tile in a country.
Features Currently in Development
Several major improvements and new functions are already in progress:
- Direct integrations with sports watches
- Friends and team functionalities
- Visibility into tiles that have not yet been visited
- Route planning tools
At the same time, we are continuing to improve system speed, usability, and long-term reliability to support sustained growth.
Closing Thoughts
This first month has established a strong foundation. The platform is growing rapidly, the community is engaged, and the technical infrastructure is evolving as required.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey so far.
Together, we will continue working towards collecting every tile in the world.
