How do I use Wandrio?

Wandrio is a tile-collecting app. The world map is divided into squares, and your goal is to collect these squares for yourself by visiting them in real life.

Wandrio tiles can’t be collected by car or any other motorized vehicle, so the easiest way to get started is to walk into a new square. Many people play Wandrio while running, cycling, kick-sledding, skiing, swimming, or paddling.

You can start using Wandrio by pressing the Record button in the app. Wandrio will then track your movement using GPS. You can switch Wandrio on when leaving home and let it collect tiles along your route. When your trip ends, stop the tracking, select the activity type, and save your activity. The tiles you collected during the trip will then appear as visited places on your personal game map. And then you also see unvisited squares and can plan a trip accordingly.

Tiles also form larger entities: megatiles and clusters. A megatile is a continuous square formed by collected tiles. It is a square area where you have collected every tile inside it.

A cluster, on the other hand, is an area of any shape made up of tiles whose surrounding tiles you have collected. More information here: Clusters and megatiles.

If you wish, you can also connect your Strava or Garmin account directly to Wandrio. This lets you import your full Strava history into Wandrio.

With the Garmin connection, you can collect tiles using a sports watch or bike computer as well.

We continuously develop Wandrio and aim to add interesting content that makes playing even more rewarding.

The core idea of Wandrio is to get users out of their homes, moving, and exploring the world every single day one tile at a time.
